More Info: The Visually Impaired Club (The VIC) was launched on April 26th 2013. It is primarily, but not exclusively, for blind and partially sighted people from the area covered by its sister organisation, the Radlett, Elstree, Borehamwood and Shenley Talking Newspaper that produces a weekly recording of local news and magazine articles.

The VIC runs weekly on Friday afternoons at Maxwell Park Community Centre, Maxwell Road in Borehamwood.

The club’s programme of activities includes:

a) cards, Scrabble, dominoes, cake decorating and music activities;

b) stick ball, table tennis, skittles, carpet bowls, Boccia, and New Age Kurling.

The expected age range is 20 years and upwards and the club has a good age balance with a 21 year old talking to and playing with a 90 year old.
